For those who didn't know him, John was a leading member of the Greater Manchester branch of the Communist Party, and active supporter of the Morning Star and one of the people who ran the excellent Labour Club in Glossop.
Rather than simply mourning his untimely death, which of course we do, we are pleased to be able to announce that there will be a celebration of his life from 2pm onwards at Glossop Labour Club on Saturday 13th May 2017, organised by his family and his friends at the Labour Club.
